there is nothing in the world i would rather be doing than documenting weddings! it may sound cliche but i honestly love all things weddings. if it wasn't for my love of photography, i'd probably be a wedding planner. yes, i love them that much!! being a wedding photographer is the perfect meld of the romantic sap in me & my love for photography.
when i'm not working, being a mama to my 3 amazing boys is honestly the best job ever! they are what drive me to do better & continue to make this career of ours endure so we can have the best life with our boys. we love traveling & being able to give them the experience of seeing more of the world.

-last but certainly not least, my beloved san francisco giants (we would still be living in Nor-cal if we had the opportunity to go back--"let's go giants!!!")
it's never lost on me, the fact that i'm documenting the most important moments of people's lives. apart from the births of my sons, there are few things in my own life that i've found more gratifying. thankfully i usually have the pleasure of hiding my tears of joy behind the camera.
born and raised in idaho, our family didn't travel much beyond our favorite camping spots as a kid, which was perfectly fine with me! since those simpler times, i've fallen in love with traveling and am in a constant state of looking for what's next on the horizon. my favorite place we've ever lived together is easily our 5 years spent in sonoma, california where finlay & peyton were born. i'm not one to dwell too heavily on the past, i say with certainty... the best in life is yet to come.
your wedding day will most likely be the best day of your life. it may also, however, be a whirlwind of emotions, and many people claim that the fun and excitement passes by all too quickly.
choosing a photographer is one of the most important decisions you will make while planning your wedding. it is important to match your ideas of how you want your day documented with the capabilities of your photographer.
throughout your day, we want the focus to be on you and the experience of having all your closest friends and family surrounding you, not on us. we will document the fleeting moments of emotion and excitement without unnecessary interference or distraction.
we are here to perfectly document your stunning wedding, to help you and your family remember everything accurately with real emotion, to help define the rest of your lives together in imagery.
we will treat your day as though it was our own.
as you can see, we are parents of 3 children ourselves. we understand all too well how quickly time passes when it comes to our own family. hours turn into days, days into weeks...you get the point! we take our fair share of snapshots with our phones, as you probably do too...but it's just not enough sometimes.
remember as a kid when your parents would drag you out to the stuffy portrait studio in the mall? the smell of the musty props and cheesy backdrops to go with the extreme discomfort, all turned out embarrassing photos that we would all like to forget, right?? it's hard to blame our parents...their options were limited.
although our studio is a beautiful interior space where we can and often do take portraits (usually limited to infant or maternity portraiture), we by and large prefer to capture people in comfortable surroundings, in flattering natural light while creating a memorable experience.
if you aren't genuinely having a good time during our session, it will show in the end product. we do our very best to capture you in a genuine way and therefore create photos you are proud to display in your home.
implementing cinematic films into our toolbox didn't happen right away, but it did happen for good reason. we are suckers for a good love story. all too often we found ourselves shedding tears of joy behind our cameras while capturing stills of important moments of a wedding. speeches, the vows, incredibly moving parent dances...all once in a lifetime events.
photography freezes these instances in time and there is a distinct dignity about it that we of course love. however, we wanted to document these special moments in motion...to memorialize the carefully crafted words of the best man or father of the bride, to capture mom in the front row holding back tears as she hears her son's vows.
we do our best to film you as unobtrusively as possible throughout the day, recording these moments as they occur organically. we celebrate the uniqueness of your love for each other and want you to have a film you will be proud to share with your grandchildren.
