Tim & Lisa ~ The Round Hill

It’s always exciting for us to shoot @ new venues & last week we had the opportunity to photograph a wedding @ the Round Hill. The house has an old southern manor feel to it, & the interior was very warm & inviting…like someone lived there year round. The grounds were beautiful & in full bloom. Something that was very important to the bride & groom. With the extreme heat & dry summer, they were worried it might all be dried up, but they really maintain the grounds very well. We kept our couple separate until the ceremony so I stayed w/ Lisa while Jesse hung out w/ the guys.

Lisa getting some assistance from her sisters & I just adore the image on the right of Lisa’s sister in the mirror!

Lisa looked absolutely stunning in this gown!!

The ladies wearing “lipstick” colored dresses. Great color for summer!

The guys, not so tame as our ladies. Might be the fact they are in a rock band? Just saying…

Beautiful ceremony site! So happy for them it didn’t rain.

The gang doing there thing!

I’m absolutely in love w/ Lisa’s sapphire engagement ring! These were my favs that Jesse got…LOVE!!

Stay tuned for images from the reception to follow. We used a new backdrop for our photo-booth & we are so excited w/ how it the photos turned out! So check back soon for some highlights!

Kyle & Amanda ~ Part 2

So I wanted to finish up my post from our last wedding we shot in Pine Plains, NY. It was a gorgeous barn setting the country w/ a very relaxed & quiet feel. We left off @ the reception. Since it was such a warm evening, we let everyone go get a drink & just cool down a bit. Then we snagged our bride & groom away for a few moments alone as newly husband & wife. These two are so adorable together. Of course we had to take as much use of the beautiful barn that was the center of attention @ this wedding site. I just  love a good barn!

Amanda’s gorgeous bouquet as well as the bridesmaids bouquets & boutonnieres were created by Melissa Popp from Hugs & Kisses.

Amanda’s dress was simple, but elegant. I just loved the sheer cap sleeves on this gown! Just gorgeous & perfect for this county style wedding

Our stunning new bride!

The Newlyweds

So as you can see from our images below, the wedding party was far from serious, which always makes for some great photos!

There was a family @ this wedding w/ six children (two sets of twins) that had the most beautiful blond hair & piercing blue eyes. These kids were so cute!

We just loved the red rockers from the image above, that Jesse thought it’d be interesting to use them for our ring shot. I love the red contrast in this photo!

The flower girls were too cute & of course what else do you do when you have a beautiful dress on, but spin around! I remember doing this as a little girl too…it was the best!

The best man gave such a heart warmer & emotional speech. And yes the mush that I am, he even got me teary eyed.

The maid of honor on the other hand, well you can see where her speech was going.

Always love a good father daughter moment. She’s the only daughter w/ two brothers, so this was extra special for them.

Want to thank Kyle & Amanda for letting us be apart of their special day. We had a really great time & felt very welcome. Congratulations!

Kyle & Amanda ~ Sugar Hill Farm, NY

Our last wedding was another gorgeous outdoor setting. The bride’s father is a caretaker for this piece of property & was an ideal setting for their wedding in the country. Now as much as I love outdoor weddings as much as the next person, there’s always the threat of rain. And even though our summer started off really dry, the rain was in the forecast once again. The sky was amazing w/ the dark clouds & burst of sunbeams shining through. Provided some great overcast lighting as well which are always great for pictures! Everyone maintained a positive attitude though, which is always the best thing to do…since you’ll be married whether it rains or not. We were able to have the ceremony outdoors as planned since the rain continued to hold off for everyone! I was so happy for them, especially because the view was amazing!  So these are a few highlights from the ceremony. I will post some from the reception next time. So keep checking back for more to come…

The Ring bearer who was just absolutely a ham for the camera!

Our handsome groom!

The barn next to the ceremony site provided a perfect location to get up high & get a shot of all the guests as well as the spectacular view!

Steve & Yvette – Part 2

I wanted to finish up my post from our last wedding in Staatsburg, NY. So, our beautiful newlyweds have made it through the ceremony, despite a little bit of light rain, but it clears up. So Jesse gets this shot below. I just love photos from overhead. Nice work babe!

Then as we are gathering all the guests together for  a large group shot, it starts to rain again. Thankfully several of the guests came prepared w/ umbrellas because they came in handy once again. I think it adds to the photo to be honest. Makes it more interesting.

Yvette steals a kiss from a young admirer…you’d better watch out Steve, you’ve got competition already w/ your new bride!

Steve & Yvette take a few moments to themselves & head to a quiet spot out on the dock. I think all couples should arrange for this. You won’t get much time to yourselves the whole day.

So we get some shots of the details inside the tent. Great use of the theme colors, purple & green. Popular ones for this wedding season.

Have to say, I just love this idea for the place settings ( We did the same thing 10 yrs ago @ our wedding ). Very cost efficient & guests love them!

We head over to our bride & groom to get some time alone w/ them too before they head back to the reception. The dock was ideal for some really great shots!

Then we headed for dry land to get a few more images on our way back.

A close up shot to get some detail of the bouquet & dress

One of my favorites!

Thankfully they mentioned there was a hammock nearby so we made sure to make use of it. Love it when we get to do something a little different!

Got to love the Adirondack chairs…it’s a given w/ the whole pond & all.

How about different you say? Look @ this cake created by the groom’s mother! Steve’s favorite rice krispie treats bought to life as a wedding cake. How fun is that!

This was such a cute moment. I think these two stole the show from the groom’s father who was performing a song for them. They kept inching closer & closer. Too cute!

Love our ring shots when we can make use of what we have around us. This one was my idea, using some twigs that were in a vase on the buffet table. Love it!

And Jesse came up w/ a great idea for his by incorporating the wine our bride & groom shared during their first moments alone as husband & wife.

I attempted to do a night shot, but Jesse’s the expert w/ this. So I used his instead because I love the use of the reflection w/ the nearby pool. Turned out awesome!

Thank you to Steve & Yvette for choosing to work w/ us! As soon as I met you Yvette, I knew you’d be a good match for us. We had so much fun w/ you on your e-session so I knew the wedding day would be just as much fun. All your hard work paid off for sure because the day was gorgeous, despite a few raindrops you both had the most positive outlook. A great start to your new life as husband & wife. Congratulations!

PS – Keep us in mind when you have lots of babies. Yvette, you are a born mother!
