Mike & Sarah ~ Love on the Farm

I got to meet up w/ one of my  couples this past weekend for an engagement session. When it came time to decide on the location for the shoot, they decided to go w/ the place where they were having their wedding, Apple Barn Farm, one of my favorite venues to shoot! So I was super excited about this shoot because I had only shot weddings there, never an e-shoot. And what a beautiful day we had for it!

These two had no problem showing their playful side & let their inner child come out & play!

I think this was my favorite shot of the session! Love it when my couples let loose & have fun!!

I was happy  too that they brought their dog along & included him in a couple of their shots! He is the ring bearer btw, which I can’t wait to see!!

Thank you to Mike & Sarah for spending some time w/ me. I had fun w/ you guys & I’m looking forward to the big day in October!

Craig & Kristin ~ Olana w/ Love

I got a little behind, but wanted to finish the second e-shoot we had this past Sunday. They wanted something not urban, but w/ fields & flowers. So we decided to take them to Olana State Park just outside of Hudson. As much as I love shooting in Hudson, I was excited to do something a little different. The garden was full of beautiful flowers & everything was lush and green. They bought along their dog, Gisepi who was a rescue dog they got about year & a half ago. He has some issues w/ strangers & other dogs, but I think we won him over. I’m happy they decided to bring him along & include him in some of their shots.

Was diggin the tatoos & blue shoes

The sky got really dark & it actually started to rain a bit. So we took cover in the woods, but it quickly passed over so we could continue on w/ the shoot!

We came across some bushes of wild rasperberries so we took advantage of them & ate a few. Raspberries happen to be my absolute favorite berry! I was super excited about the find!!

I just love this persian style home! It’s so unique & very distinquished. I always look for it when I’m coming across the Catskill Bridge when we head home.

Thank you to Craig & Kristin for spending sometime w/ us & letting us get to know Gisepi too. We had a great time & look forward to your wedding in September!

Rich & Gina ~ La Vita e Bella!

Ah yes, our Sunday afternoon engagement session w/ Rich & Gina. Where do I begin…but to say OMG, was it a hot & steamy session w/ these two lovebirds!! Reminds me why I love this business so much in the first place…I’m a hopeless romantic @ heart. Love is a wonderful thing when you have someone to share it with & boy o boy, did these two have love for one another! Jesse & I had so much fun w/ this couple & makes us anticipate what more is to come when the big day comes in October. We hit the town of Hudson again because they decided to choose a location near their wedding site which is @ Apple Barn Farm in Livingston,NY. I was so excited about it since I just love this town. There are so many great places here that provide such amazing backdrops!

Can you tell what a character Rich is? He was so fun to photograph & did a great job getting the best laughs out of Gina!

This was the perspective from Jesse in this shot & mine is below. Love having two photogs for our shoots!

Gina had such a gorgeous smile!

So about half way thru they really got into it & let loose. I actually thought @ some points they forgot we were there. That made me so happy because I knew @ the moment, they trusted us!

THE RING SHOT! I absolutely love how this turned out & super excited about it!!

Since these two are both musicians, we decided to make our last stop @ Club Helsinki. I think they enjoyed it, alot!!

Thanks so much for spending a couple of hours w/ us & getting to finally meet you in person. We had a blast & it was obvious you did too! We can wait for your wedding in October!

Rich & Gina ~ Sneak Peak

Yesterday we had a busy day! Two engagement sessions back to back in Hudson, NY. Again we had overcast skies & threat of rain, but it’s becoming my favorite kind of day to shoot in. Here’s a sneak peak from our first session. Let me just tell you, these two made for one hot & steamy e-shoot…this is just the icing on the cake my friends!

Pat & Kat – Love in Hudson

So last week, my dream of doing a photo shoot in Hudson came true! Thanks to one of our clients who live in NYC, but have a weekend home here. Even though we’ve been having a dry spell here the last month, the day of our scheduled shoot it was pouring. We waited the morning out & by the afternoon it had stopped. So we decided to take the risk. And I’m so excited we did! The overcast lighting & puddles left behind were perfect!! Our couple had a rough start for the morning & missed out on coffee. So to get them energized we hit up none other than Strongtree Organic Coffee of course to do the job!

Then it was across the street to the train station! Always love us some train track shots.

Thought this sign was cool!

Our love birds really started to loosen up @ this point!

Love it when we can get some SEXY from our ladies! Isn’t she just gorgeous!!

Some of our puddle finds that we love so much!

A small field of Queen Ann’s lace that our couple was so brave to sit in for us. Hope there was no poison ivy.

And then we have the every so fun ring shots. Each photo shoot we try to get creative to show off the ring. I spotted a park bench down by the waterfront that I thought would be perfect! This was my take on it…

And this was Jesse’s perspective. Both used a different lens to get two totally different views from the same spot. I like his better!

Had to get the lighthouse in because our original plan was to incorporate it into our shoot, but it was too crowded.

While driving around, Jesse spotted this gorgeous abandoned building so we had to take advantage of it & I love how they turned out! Awesome babe!!

Our last stop was the entrance to Club Helsinki. We just loved the work they’ve done on this building! Provided the perfect little hide away for some romantic shots.

The owners spotted us & came out to see what we were up to. So they were nice enough to take us inside to get a grand tour of the facility. Just loved the grand room upstairs & had to take advantage of these amazing chairs!

Thanks to Pat & Kat for trusting in us to go ahead w/ the photo shoot! We had such an awesome time w/ you guys & can’t wait for your wedding in September!

Arthur & Alexandra – Some Like It Hot!

Remember last week when it was 100+ degrees here in the Hudson Valley, well we had an e-session scheduled w/ one of couples who will wed in September. So why didn’t we just reschedule you say? Well, it’s because this couple lives in Switzerland & were only here a few days which happened to be right during the week of our heatwave. So unfortunate for them, we had to go forward w/ it & they were such troopers. Alexandra even had her hair & makeup done for a wedding trial, & I must say both fared really well. Now know it can stand the test of intense heat & sweat! As you will see from the time we spent w/ this amazing couple, smiles & laughs galore! They gave us the impression they were nervous for this photo session, but I now know they were pulling our leg. Alexandra has the most infectious smile! You just can’t help smile too

Jesse happened to catch this shot while I was adjusting my camera. These two are so adorable, I can’t stand it!

The Ring!

They made it look like a breeze despite how hot it was. I know it was intense for them to stand in the sun like this, but they did it because we asked them too. Love you guys for that!

Tried for a more serious shot to see what we had to work w/ & we got it!

But they couldn’t hold out for long w/o those big smiles, so much nicer anyhow

Love Alexandra’s look here…so SEXY! Bring it on lady. She has the most amazing eyes too!

Love getting some good sun-flare in the late afternoon!

Thanks to our super amazing & fun couple, Arthur & Alexandra. We’re so happy to be working w/ you guys & can’t wait for your wedding in September!
