Old Pics w/a New Look

I was looking through some old pics on my computer & came across a few I had taken last year, but forgot about. So with a little editing in PS, I gave them a new look. The first two are of the Mid Hudson Bridge & the last one has escaped my memory, but I know it was in the Hudson Valley. The sky was just unbelievable that night & the photo doesn’t do it justice. Hope you enjoy them!

Ruby

My day was almost disappointing because a certain little person, who decided to stay up all night, had her parents exhausted. But mom thankfully called me later in the morning to say she’d gotten some more sleep, so we were back on. I just love newborn sessions, so I was so excited to be spending a couple of hours with this 7 day old beauty. Miss Ruby was such a delight to work with & we had some amazing light to work with today in the nursery. It’s funny, but you couldn’t tell by these photos, but she supposedly hates being naked. Mom & dad did a great job keeping the room toasty as I had requested. Must have done the trick because she didn’t seem to mind. I really love it when things of importance can be incorporated into the photos. Dad is a Johnny Cash fan so Miss R modeled a cute onsie for dad, the hat was knitted by a family member, and the yellow floral blanket was a souvenir from Spain. Only one little accident too, sorry about that & hope it comes out you guys. Not bad for a days work though. Thanks to my friend Sarah too for introducing me to this lovely family. I had a great time & I really appreciate you inviting me into your home to capture some of her first moments. Enjoy!

Recycle Your Wedding Gown

I came across this website & felt this was a great organization to highlight. Not only am I trying to do my part to live a greener lifestyle, but this cause is near & dear to my heart since my mom is a breast cancer survivor. I’ve often wondered what do you do with this dress you only get to wear once & then pack away? Do you hope to have a daughter & then wait 20+ years to find out she doesn’t want to wear it. What a waste. Or better yet, you have 2 boys like me with absolutely no hope of seeing it worn again. Not only is this an opportunity to do something nice for the planet, but a chance to help support a great foundation. To find out more, check out the website at bridesagainstbreastcancer.com.
