This little girl will be sick of me I’m sure very soon, but I just love taking pictures of newborns. When they are so new, & tiny, & they smell so fresh. I just love their constantly changing facial expressions as well. You can just see them taking everything in & learning new things each day. Newborns are truly amazing little creatures that are absolutely deserving of auntie’s drooling all over them. Thank you to mommy Kerri for allowing me to capture some of her first moments. Will be back for lots more to come…

New for 2010 couples & thank you to 2009 couples
Among the many things new that we are planning on offering to our couples this next year, this has to be my favorite so far. If this is a hit, all of our couples will have a personalized show available the same time their images are available for online proofing. This show also comes in a format available for social media…so you can post and spread the love! This particular video showcases some of our most cherished images from all the couples we have worked with over the last few years.
To all our 2009 couples, thank you all so much for a tremendous year! Becca & I had a great time with each and every one of you.
With that said, click the link below and enjoy!
Our Newest Arrival
So I’ve been a little behind in my blogging, but I have a really good excuse. Last Friday the arrival of the newest member of my family finally happened. My brother & his wife had their first baby, a beautiful daughter they named Quinn. She weighed in @ 7lbs 7oz & 20 1/2 inches long. I was so happy to be their for her arrival & to capture their very first moments together as a new family. The photo below is moments after her arrival & I just love the look of how proud my brother looks to finally meet his new baby girl.
I got a few good close ups of my new niece when they took her to get checked over. I have to say, one of my proudest moments. I instantly fell in love seeing her right after she was born.
Always love a good crying photo. Something Glenn & Kerri will hear all too often in the coming months.
One day old, she is looking even more beautiful after her first bath & feeling content in her mothers arms. Priceless.
Bonding with baby
Day three, home at last. We are so excited she is here & anxiously await each day as she changes & grows.
Ryan & Brooke
Yes, I failed to follow through with my last post which I send my apologies to Ryan & Brooke. My next post will explain why. Anyways, I wanted to share a few other highlights from our last wedding, which was indeed a winter wonderland.
The dress was a beautiful, greek style empire waist. It was gorgeous & I couldn’t wait to see the bride in it.
Of all people to be ready first, was the bride herself. Everyone was still finishing up when she was already for pictures. So I decided to sneak her outside for a few shots & no sooner did we step outside & the snowflakes began to fall. It was absolutely perfect & she looked amazing in her gown.
Then the girls joined in shortly after & the snow really started to come down. I was so excited & was just hoping it was coming down enough to show up when enlarged. It was indeed which made me extremely thrilled & excited that Brooke got her winter themed wedding wish completed with real snow. These girls were so brave, because to have snow, it has to be cold…bbbrrr
By the time we arrived to the church the snow had really picked up. It was actually accumulating, which made me even more excited. Are you thinking what I’m thinking…snowball fight!
Brooke being escorted by her father to the chapel. Do you see the shoes of choice for a December wedding?
Some relief from the cold in the chapel. Everyone managed to arrive on time despite the bad weather.
The happy couple
We saw this one and only tree just outside the church so we had to take advantage of it. Again, everyone was so cooperative walking through the snow to get the shot we wanted. It was certainly worth it!
The wonderful & supportive wedding party. Even tried to get the girls to give me a little sexy in the snow. You girls look fierce!
Tried to incooperate the groom’s love of pool in the mix with the ring shot. Yes, they were married on December 5th. One of my favorite’s of the night I think.
I thought this cake was so beautiful. It was absolutely perfect for the evening.
Thanks to Ryan & Brooke for letting us join them on their special day. It turned out to have some great surprises & we had an amazing time! Hope it was everything you had hoped for & more.
Ezra & Melissa (the finale)
So, I wanted to finish up the last post of the wedding we shot @ the end of November. There was some extra shots that I really loved of the details of the chapel & some shots of the reception. Jesse took this amazing view of the chapel that I just absolutely loved. Really showed the beautiful architecture & the gorgeous blue sky we had that day.
Always love this perspective at the ceremony with the bride walking down from behind. The organ in the foreground just added to the magnitude of the moment
I just loved this shot of the two of them. You can see their intense love for each other.
Love the light in this one!
The reception was held @ the Dinsmore Golf Course Banquet Hall in Staatsburg, NY, which is owned & catered by the Terrapin Restaurant. There is a panoramic view of the golf course & Catskill Mountain range. Since they had an early wedding ceremony, there was a few hours left of daylight & then we were able to view an amazing sunset after dinner.
The evening started off with two great bands. The first was a blue grass band called The Roundabout Ramblers. They were amazing & great to listen to. A few people got up and danced
The second, which is made up of a family of six, the Walker Family Band plays contra & square dancing music. By the first song, they had almost everyone on the dance floor. They really knew how to get the dancing started & got everyone involved. It was a lot of fun to watch.
Ezra & Melissa during one of our favorite dances of the night. Everyone had such a great time.
Like a lot of couples today, they chose to bring in a non-traditional wedding cake….an oh so yummy brownie tower instead. I loved the idea, especially since brownies are one of my favorites!
Thank you to Ezra & Melissa for allowing us to share in their special day. Despite the wind & cool temperatures, you were great sports & fun to work with. We had a great time & hope you have an amazing trip in Australia. Take lots of pictures!
Ezra & Melissa (part 2)
This was one of those weddings where we felt more like friends at the wedding rather than working. These two were so laid back & easy going they made our day so enjoyable & a joy to be with. This was no ordinary story of boy meets girl, but rather a love story of two friends who grew to be more. Like one of my favorite quotes, “Love is a friendship that has caught fire.” It was definitely easy to see the love that these two shared for one another.
So we met in person only last week a couple days before the wedding & after hearing some more of the details, I knew we were a good fit for each other too. Loved the simplicity of her dress, the colors she had chosen for her theme, the menu. Just look at this dress she found back in Oregon. The store was going out of business, but she managed to snag this simple gown that looked as if it was made for her.
Her close friends finish up her last minute touches with her makeup & dress
Ezra & Melissa went to Vassar College in Poughkeepsie & both fell in love with the chapel there. I mean look at the grandness of this place, I don’t blame them

Filipino wedding customs were blended in with the veil & cord ceremony; this is one of several centuries-old Philippine wedding traditions.
Just loved the bouquet for the bride. The plum colors were a great choice for a late fall wedding. They were done by Seed to Fruit, a florist in Beacon

Great shot by my hubby. Love the perspective he got with the tree & chapel in the foreground!

These two were just so adorable

Benefits of two photographers. While my hubby got the shot below, I was taking the shot of the bride in the following image.

Another great image from my partner, Jesse. Loved his use of the stone wall to incorporate for some contrast & height in this image
I will share more later of details & the reception. Check back soon for more…
