Dolci

Yesterday I went to visit an old friend who just had her first baby 2 weeks ago. I was in love as soon as I saw her big brown eyes & jet black hair. She wasn’t as happy to see me, the baby that is because she suffers from colic. Poor little angel, but we let her work it out for the first 45 min & then we she finally fell asleep I grabbed my camera & got a few shots. These were my favorites. Hope mom & dad are can be patient until I get these to them.

Dulci compI ordered some new knitted baby caps for my shoots & Dulci got to be the first to model two of them. Think she is just so sweet!  Thank you Mike & Gina for allowing me to capture some moments of your new little girl. She is absolutely gorgeous & can’t wait to see her grow & change. Good looks are definitely it in her genes. Love you guys!

Justin & Rachel

This past weekend we had the pleasure of shooting a wedding up in Saratoga. I just love that city & realized after this trip we need to bring the family up here more. It’s not much farther north than Albany, so it’s definitely worth the drive. When we met this couple, I just knew they were going to be fun. You’ll see that it was really hard to keep smiles off the faces of these love birds. Rachel had told me her dress was going to be dramatic, but wasn’t quite sure what to expect. But when I got to see her in this gorgeous dress, that was the perfect word to describe her gown. She looked absolutely stunning in this mermaid style dress from Yvonne’s Bridal Gallery.

I just couldn’t get enough of the details in this dress & I just loved the bracelet she found to go with it. Simple, but added just the right elegance to complete the look she wanted.

Since it was fall, can’t resist a good old leave throwing shot & Jesse got a shot of the guys that I just love…

The reception was held in an old church that has been converted into a commercial space called the Universal Preservation Hall. It’s still undergoing renovations, but it’s an amazing venue for large events such as weddings. I just had to utilize the stain glass & just absolutely think Rachel looks stunning in this.

The grandness of this space was almost too much to handle. I wanted to be able to capture the size of this room in panoramic picture, but this will have to do for now. The high ceilings were just so awesome.

Love their expressions in this shot right after the ceremony!

jr12

They had a nice large wedding party & were a blast to photograph.

There was a church next door that had this gorgeous red door, so Rachel wanted to incorporate it & I’m glad we did.

We walked down the street a little to get some cute night shots of these cuties.

Just loved their first dance. They are such cuddle bugs & you can totally tell in this shot.

We had set up the photo-booth for this group & did they ever make the best of it. This was one of my favorites I think of the year!

jr19

Caught the love birds in a moment while everyone was dancing around them.

A fun shot to show the amazing design & structure of this historic building. The movement of a passing car just added a nice feeling to it that we both loved.

We wanted to thank Rachel & Justin for allowing us to work with them & capture their special day. It was so much fun & was apparent by all their friends & family who knew how to have a great time! The venue was amazing & was just gorgeous. Hope it was everything you had hoped for & more. Congratulations!

Wedding in the Country

Another wedding @ one of our favorite venues, Apple Barn Farm. What a gorgeous day it turned out to be too. The wedding the day before was really chilly, so I dressed in layers for this wedding & it turned out to be a bit humid. Go figure with east coast weather. Anyway, it was a nice surprise by everyone, especially since it was another outdoor ceremony. So much detail & preparation went into to this wedding, we were afraid to leave anything out. One of my favorites was the bride’s outfit. She found this top @ Anthropologie & since she couldn’t find a skirt to match, she found a bed sheet from Bed Bath & Beyond that did & designed a skirt herself sewn by Lucksmee Blakemore. Just love the detail in the blouse.
?

Absolutely loved that she incorporated her something blue in the form of her shoes!!!

Flowers were made of dried sumac berries, hydrangea, and pheasant feathers…made by the brides’ mother

The groom came from a large family with six siblings

Don’t know if there was any opportunity for tears @ this ceremony w/ the bride cracking up @ every opportunity. She kept the crowd laughing for sure.

The whole group. We’ve seem to have gotten this routine down to a science

I love all my couples, how can you not…it’s their wedding & they are in love. But I had a truly amazing time photographing these two. Just adorable!!

Cool idea of engraving their wedding date in their rings

Ashley really couldn’t hide the fact that she was having an amazing time, even if she wanted to. This girl was all about the laughter & I was loving it!

Don’t know how many guests noticed this amazing site, but on our way out to leave, Jesse saw all this fog in the field nearby & captured this image. Not as gorgeous as we saw it, but you get the idea

Pies were from Smith’s Orchards in Charlton, NY (absolutely delicious)
Band was called Cloud Nyne (phenomenal)

Thank you to Ashley & David for allowing us to be apart of your special day. We had a blast & you guys made us feel so comfortable with how relaxed you were about everything. Your eye for detail to make this a truly personal day paid off for sure. A truly beautiful event!
