Anthony & Emily

We continue to have the privilege of working @ some amazing wedding locations. This past weekend was definitely one of them. We traveled about 2 hours to Shelburne, Ma where the whole wedding day was shot @ one location which happened to be the groom’s parents house. Amazing! The weather couldn’t have been more perfect, a little warm during the ceremony, but we were fortunate to get a few breezes which made all the difference. There was so much love in this family, it was hard not to get emotional even not knowing them (yes, I did indeed shed a couple of tears).

Many cute touches were added to make the wedding more personal & unique. Like this adorable vw bug that the ring bearer carried.

The beautiful bride taking a moment to contemplate that she was really getting married.

I’m glad I caught this moment. Emily almost put the ring on the wrong hand & so it added to the humor throughout the night. Very cute.

The rural surrounding here were so gorgeous. From every angle there was beauty around.

The joining of two families. I felt like they were already a complete family before today, but this finalized their love for each other.

On to the reception, there were definitely those few amongst the crowd who were the life of the party & these two were no exception.

The groom & his best friend were quite the duo. I think this picture says it all.

I thought this was such a great idea. A large blank canvas was set up with paints for all the quests to leave a message for the bride & groom. A little different twist from the standard guest book & definitely a lasting memory.

This was our first wedding we attempted doing a crazybooth. We are still working out the kinks, but wanted to share a couple of my favorites. It’s amazing how people will get out of the normal “say cheese” moments & let loose. It’s awesome. Can’t wait to do it again.

Danielle & Brian

This past Saturday we had the privilege of shooting a wedding at a very exclusive location in upstate NY. A friend of the family had a piece of property that was just perfect for a wedding in the country. The ceremony was performed on a small natural cliff that overlooked the creek. Guests were seated down below on bails of hay. It was so beautiful & a perfect setting for a ceremony. There were so many personal touches done from start to finish I don’t know where to start. A Cherokee Indian prayer was done to start it off & each member of the wedding party lit a candle in memory of someone they loved that had passed away. It was very emotional for many that were in attendance. Guests were given bubbles to conclude the marriage ceremony.

The bride had a parasol for herself in case it was too hot & sunny. It ended up being very overcast so she didn’t need it after all, but we had to make sure we used it in some of the photos.

A cupcake tower was used instead of the traditional wedding cake. So instead of a cake cutting ceremony, they had a large cupcake created which was personalized by their initials.

We did have some heavy down pours during the reception which made for some wet moments, but we made sure we squeezed in a shot of the tent when it wasn’t raining so hard. Truly a beautiful location & very private. The owner is considering opening it up for future wedding celebrations, so we’ll keep you posted with any information we get

Jon & Tracey

This past weekend I had the privilege of working @ my favorite venue, Apple Barn Farm in upstate NY. The weather all week up to the wedding on Saturday had been chilly & rainy, but we ended up with the most perfect day for this couple. The cool breeze, sunshine, & big, puffy white clouds were idealistic for photos. Jon & Tracey were such a laid back & easy going couple that it made our job so much easier. I even loved the fact that she walked down the isle barefoot.

This place has so many great locations for photos. These were a couple of my favorites.

To help her guests enjoy the natural surroundings & feel more relaxed she provided flip flops for everyone to wear at their leisure. Great idea, especially when you’re dealing with an outside setting (heals + soft ground = muddy shoes).

The bride added a special touch to distinguish her flip flops by putting bows on them.

It seems more & more people are going with the non traditional wedding cake & using cupcakes instead. I’m a huge fan of this, especially since I’ll choose a cupcake over a piece of cake any day. A friend of the family was talented enough to provide these gorgeous cupcakes, that were so delicious & presented beautifully with the added touch of candles.

This couple really wanted their guests to have great time. So bubbles, balls, & hula hoops were provided for everyone to use. Even the bride’s mom & sister in law took full advantage of this.

Round Three

A friend of mine who I’ve known since we were little girls together is expecting baby number 3. She’s lives in California now with her husband & kids, but came back east for her brother’s senior graduation. So since I missed her first two pregnancies, I wanted to make sure I captured her “last” pregnancy (the last one was her last too). We had a beautiful day to do it to because the rainy week hadn’t started yet. This was a lot of fun & it’s always fun to work with people you know so everyone feels comfortable with each other. Congratulations Noah & looking forward to meeting the new little man.
