Jiminy Peak, MA

We got a quick getaway before the snow. Our sister in law had a time share about 45 minutes away, so we were able to spend some time out of the cold swimming in the… “heated” pool. It’s not warm enough for me! Peyton agrees, we both enjoy the hot tub outside the best. Finn was happy as a fish though. He loves the water and was brave enough this time around to not use a tube. He even went under water a few times, a big step for him. Warming up at the fireplace became a routine after a swim. The first picture is of the boys modeling their new pajamas. (I think they liked them a lot.)

Beer Fest, Poconos

We just got back from a very enjoyable weekend getaway with friends in PA. Since we were unable to make it last year, we were very excited to be able to make it this year. The annual Beer Fest, which this year had 5 up for the running. We stayed with our friends, Shea & Gena Wright, so of course we were hoping for a second year winning for them. It was freezing the night of the contest, but it didn’t keep the guests away. They ended up with a house full of about 75. It was crowded, but helped keep the festivities alive. A good time had by all. These were some of the highlights of the nights fun.

Last year’s winning brew. Go Shea!

Paul & Lori

Paul and Lori tied the knot on Daylight Savings Sunday. Darkness came quicker than all of us expected. Although a little rushed, we were able to catch the evening twilight on the Poughkeepsie waterfront. Congratulations on the completion of your new family!

What a gorgeous autumn day this turned out to be. A bit on the chilly side, but the colors were definitely at their peak I think this past weekend. Krista had picked out the perfect flowers to compliment the fall leaves. I just loved this cake as well which a friend had done for them. A truly special gift. Thanks to Blithewood @ Bard College for letting us use the grounds. One of my favorite places to visit since I was a little girl.

Autumn Colors @ Olana

We took advantage as a family with no school and no work, to try and get some pictures of the fall colors before it was too late. What a view Olana has to offer. A perfect day for it. The boys love it there because there is so much room for running and they love walking the trails. I recommend heading up there this week if you can, I have a feeling this is going to be peak weekend.

Emily & Madison

Despite the cool morning we had, my cousins were determined to make the best of it. They were naturals, even though they were attempting to convince me of how camera shy they were. Loved the pinkish red leaves in Emily’s photo. Looked amazing with her shawl. Madison’s purple sweater was also a nice accent to the fall colors. Job well done girls.

What an unbelievable day this couple had. It couldn’t have been a more perfect fall day. I shot another wedding at this location 2 weeks ago, so it was nice having a familiar setting. Apple Barn Farm is the place to be if you are looking for a rustic wedding in the country. These two really utilized the surroundings. From the bride coming in on horseback, to the wedding party hayride, a true country wedding is what they delivered. These two really new how to show their guests a good time and truly memorable moments.

Andrew & Linet

If you can believe this, this is a 2 week old bouncing baby boy. He weighed in at 10 1/2 pounds at birth, which explains his size. He wasn’t feeling his best the morning I shot these, but he was a good sport despite his not wanting his picture taken. His adorable sister got in on the action as well, though she couldn’t get enough of it.

Julie & Adam

I had the privilege of working my first wedding @ Apple Barn Farm in upstate NY. It was suppose to have been rained out, but it ended up being a gorgeous day. A little overcast, but perfect for picture taking. A very touching ceremony, one that actually brought tears to my eyes. An extraordinary location for such a wonderful couple.
