I wanted to finish up my post from our last wedding in Staatsburg, NY. So, our beautiful newlyweds have made it through the ceremony, despite a little bit of light rain, but it clears up. So Jesse gets this shot below. I just love photos from overhead. Nice work babe!
Then as we are gathering all the guests together for a large group shot, it starts to rain again. Thankfully several of the guests came prepared w/ umbrellas because they came in handy once again. I think it adds to the photo to be honest. Makes it more interesting.
Yvette steals a kiss from a young admirer…you’d better watch out Steve, you’ve got competition already w/ your new bride!
Steve & Yvette take a few moments to themselves & head to a quiet spot out on the dock. I think all couples should arrange for this. You won’t get much time to yourselves the whole day.
So we get some shots of the details inside the tent. Great use of the theme colors, purple & green. Popular ones for this wedding season.
Have to say, I just love this idea for the place settings ( We did the same thing 10 yrs ago @ our wedding ). Very cost efficient & guests love them!
We head over to our bride & groom to get some time alone w/ them too before they head back to the reception. The dock was ideal for some really great shots!
Then we headed for dry land to get a few more images on our way back.
A close up shot to get some detail of the bouquet & dress
One of my favorites!
Thankfully they mentioned there was a hammock nearby so we made sure to make use of it. Love it when we get to do something a little different!
Got to love the Adirondack chairs…it’s a given w/ the whole pond & all.
How about different you say? Look @ this cake created by the groom’s mother! Steve’s favorite rice krispie treats bought to life as a wedding cake. How fun is that!
This was such a cute moment. I think these two stole the show from the groom’s father who was performing a song for them. They kept inching closer & closer. Too cute!
Love our ring shots when we can make use of what we have around us. This one was my idea, using some twigs that were in a vase on the buffet table. Love it!
And Jesse came up w/ a great idea for his by incorporating the wine our bride & groom shared during their first moments alone as husband & wife.
I attempted to do a night shot, but Jesse’s the expert w/ this. So I used his instead because I love the use of the reflection w/ the nearby pool. Turned out awesome!
Thank you to Steve & Yvette for choosing to work w/ us! As soon as I met you Yvette, I knew you’d be a good match for us. We had so much fun w/ you on your e-session so I knew the wedding day would be just as much fun. All your hard work paid off for sure because the day was gorgeous, despite a few raindrops you both had the most positive outlook. A great start to your new life as husband & wife. Congratulations!
PS – Keep us in mind when you have lots of babies. Yvette, you are a born mother!
